By the end of the 2-hour yoga class, I was ready for a glass of green wine and 2 Tylenol PM.
Every Wednesday, I have a yoga class with Sam. Sam has been a yoga teacher for the past 30 years. She l acquired yoga in Thailand, when she was in the peace corp. Sam is an inspiration to everyone. At 61 years old, she beat cancer 3 times. She is the kindest and most lovely person that I have ever met, but just being around Sam makes you know good. She has good energy. I started attending a yoga class with Sam at the fitness center. She was entirely working there at the time. I attended the yoga class for numerous months, before moving on to an intermediate class. Sam was not the teacher for the intermediate class, even though I didn’t want to switch people, and luckily, Sam had a few classes outside of the fitness center. I signed up for a private fitness class. There are 10 additional people in the class, including myself. Last Wednesday, I was excited to attend class. All of us didn’t have a normal yoga session the week before, because the A/C unit was broke down. Sam spent most of the day fixing the problem. Because of the issue, our yoga classes were canceled for the day. My body remembered being off for a week, but everything creaked and stretched and cracked. By the end of the 2-hour yoga class, I was ready for a glass of green wine and 2 Tylenol PM. I could barely walk to the car, before my legs were wobbling. Since every one of us missed a workout session the week before, I suppose Sam worked us twice as taxing this week. I don’t remember covered in sweat so much in yoga.
