My brother is a personal trainer at the local gym.
He adores his job because he can make a big difference in people’s lives.
Frequently, he’ll get people coming to him who are desperate because they’re overweight and have tried all sorts of diet programs. These people can’t stick to anything and end up leaving any gym they’re at. He makes it his mission to get everyone in shape, motivated and feeling great about themselves. Anytime, a client of his starts working out it is awful. He says they’re sore in current areas plus taking time out of their normal afternoons to exercise and it’s awful. However, once they get over that hurdle, working out is addicting to them. It’s a nice thing for them to do daily. Working on muscle training, cardio, plus balance and coordination has more benefits than simple muscle tone. What happens when they go slipping on ice, or tripping over the curb? People who are out of shape can’t catch their body weight and they get seriously hurt. How about when people who are overweight have higher blood pressure, heart troubles plus joint pain? Getting into shape is nice for the overall health plus safety. Also, my brother’s clients get a social element out of their fitness class with him too. He does a lot of whole group instruction classes and everyone gets to interact with each other. Some of them are unfamiliar with the area or they have trouble making friends, and sometimes occasionally, he gets senior citizens that are alone in life. It’s nice for his clients to get out and about with other people of similar interests. It’s great for him to see his clients gaining more confidence and happiness in life.
