I adore my job because I can actually make a positive difference in people’s lives.
Frequently, I’ll get people coming to me with desperation, because they are overweight plus have tried all sorts of failed diets. They can’t stick to anything permanently plus end up leaving the gym they’re at and starting over. I make it my mission to get these clients in shape, motivated plus feeling wonderful about their bodies. Anytime a person begins exercising, it’s awful. They’re sore in new areas plus taking time out of their mornings to workout. Once they get the hang of it, now working out becomes addicting. It’s a wonderful thing to do biweekly, but working on muscle training, cardio, plus balance plus coordination has more benefits to simply looking good. What about when you slip on ice, or trip over a curb? People who are out of shape can’t catch their body weight plus get seriously injured. How about how people who are overweight have higher blood pressure, heart complications plus joint pain? Exercising is wonderful for overall health plus safety. My clients get a social element out of their fitness class too, because I teach a lot of whole group instruction where everyone gets to interact with one other. Some clients are new to the space or they have trouble making friends on their own! Occasionally, I get senior citizens that are alone in life and want to get out. It’s wonderful for everyone to get out plus about with other people of similar fitness mindsets. It’s wonderful seeing my clients acquire more confidence plus happiness in life.
