I know it’s been a while since I was last active.
My metabolism started to slow down as I got older and my energy decreases.
Becoming lazy is almost too easy of a habit to fall in to. The weight I was gaining snuck up on me over the years, and then I realized I needed a change. All I did was sit on the couch when I got home from work. It was a new level of lazy. I immediately went to make a call. I reached out to an old acquaintance of mine, who was a personal fitness trainer at a local gym close to my home. I didn’t have a gym membership, and I think the last time I exercised was several years ago. She was very intimidating. My personal trainer friend invited me to the gym the next day so she could provide me with a free personal fitness class. This was to see if I liked it. She said she was starting me off with the basics before she went into the harder training courses. If I weren’t so out of shape I would have taken offense, but I know that fitness class was the level I needed to be at. It was only a few hours, but it was more exercise then I had experienced in several years. I was pooped. My friend gave me a free trial gym membership to help boost my motivation.
